Default inexpensive wines can be good

I have had a couple different wines that were quite inexpensive but actually tasted very good. Do you like any inexpensive wines?

I love a good cheap wine. My summer white this year was the '05 Belvedere Chard for $13 per bottle. Ran into a great deal on some Spanish red's for $12 per bottle and only have one left. Would much rather drink a good $12 bottle then a good $50 bottle.

I'll drink a Meridain Chard any day. They cost about $6 in Delaware.

I'm finding a lot of Spanish reds that are under $15 of high, high quality.

This summer I had a red zinfendel that was very good. It seemed like a Merlot.

That's very interesting Berno. I've seen some Spanish wines lately that I considered, but I haven't purchased any yet. Are there any specific wineries you favor? I'll have to give them a try.

There are some very good wines that are less than $20 a bottle....and some even less than $10. Check out some of the best buys I know of at Cheers 2 Wine News - August 2007 Issue.

Because wine is generally viewed as an expensive commodity here in the Philippines, the market is flooded with cheap wines that aren't very satisfying for those who've had a taste of good quality ones. Fortunately, I know of an importer who is very adventurous when it comes to wines and she's been offering affordable wines that still enhance the wine drinking experience. Romanian Wines are pretty inexpensive but good.

Its true that inexpensive wines are much tastier as comapred to expensive wines. I have a long list of cheap wines but my favourite is Bella Sera pinot grigo.
