Default What are you drinking Nov. 2008

2007 Viña Quintay Sauvignon Blanc - good SB for the price $13! Not as in your face with cut grass and Grapefruit as Sauvignon Blanc from NZ, more mineral and more tart. Won't be everyone's style but I think it is nice and well worth the money expecially if you are tired of NZ style SB's.

04 Peay Pinot Noir. This is finally in its drinking window. Sour cherry, vanilla, and spice notes. A thoroughly enjoyable bottle.

Peay makes some good juice, only had a few bottles but liked it. Just fell off of my radar a few years back and only think about it when I read a TN.

2005 Don Nicanor Malbec - Very tight but plenty of promise.

2007 Finca y Bodega Carlos Pulenta Torrontés Tomero - Very nice, the first Torrontés I have ever had won't be my last.

02 Barlow Barrouge (Bordeaux blend)... another 'under the radar' producer.
