Default 4 Masi Amrone

2004 Masi Amarone Costasera:
Beautiful dark purple color. Deep fruity nose of stewed fruits, ripe cherry some moldy cheese notes. Very bright and thick in the mouth. Fruit forward, juicy and has a nice amount of tannin. Great wine. B+/A-

2001 Masi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron: After aging and before bottling, this wine saw two months in a cherrywood cask. Deep brick red color. Earthy nose, with a moldy cheese note. Also stewed fruit and you could definately get the cherry cask smell as well. Bright acidity, wonderful structure and balance. Stewed fruit plus earthy finish. This was a treat. A-

2001 Masi Amarone Campolongo di Torbe:
Brick red color. Huge nose of stewed cherries with cinnamon. Big in the mouth with a lot of sweet tannins. Try this in a decade. A-(+)

2001 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Mazzano:
Dark brick red color. Stewed fruit, moldy cheese, and this minty/earthiness in the nose. Full bodied, spicy and intense. Lots of fruit with this wine. Heck of a wine. A
