Online Education

I am nearing 50, and have gone back to school, on-line. I wonder how many others here are doing the same.

I'm not going back to school, but I am taking some college courses online.

I went to Career Step, an online school for medical transcription and had a lot of good opportunities after receiving my certificate from them. I really like distance learning and will do it again in the near future.

I have taken classes online. It is not always easy but certainly well worth it in terms of working on furthering your education.

I enjoy distance learning because you can learn as fast you want without being slowed by others questions.

Shadow, I am closer to your age and am currently looking for a few courses. I've also considered going back to school for a Master's, but decided against that. Instead I will take a course or two to update my training.
I read that people in the 45-60 age bracket were the fastest growing category of new workers.

I forgot to mention that my mom is around 50 and she completed an online Master's degree about two years ago.

I have not taken any classes online. I ma not opposed to it and think it is a great idea. I just get frustrated with those flashing adds that have you subscribe, just to get more info. and them people call and email you. ARRRG!

I always admire people who successfully completed a online course especially a degree program. It is so easy to goof off and stay off-focus. You really need a lot of self discipline to get going.
