Rating: 92

80% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc

Color deep ruby red with faint garnet border

Intense aromas - yet very elegant - which show an impressive and seductive bouquet ranging from prune to dry hay to chlorophyll to notes of diesel oil. The bouquet intensifies with further pleasing aromas of sticky toffee/soft caramel, intense violet and bitter chocolate, star anise, licorice root, mint, cherry and blackberry jam, rice starch and finishing with hints of herbaceousness, smoke and carob.

There is a pleasing sapidity, minerality and mouth watering quality , due to the acidity which covers the correct degree of alcohol , lending to the palate an overall richness which combined with sweet, silky, elegant and broad tannins creates a particularly pleasant harmony and balance .

Good aromatic persistence with an aftertaste of violet. A complete and delicious wine that has a marvelous and impressive array of perfumes

Drink or hold.
